Two groups of mates have been flying in helicopters, riding big lines, hucking off cliffs and filming the whole thing for the past ten days. It sounds like good fun but it’s not a holiday; it’s an international competition called the World Heli Challenge and both teams are in the hunt for $10,000 and prizes.
The New Zealand Alpine National Slalom Championships were held at Coronet Peak today, the official ski area partner of the New Zealand Alpine Ski Team. Olympian Adam Barwood (Queenstown) would be looking to defend the national title which he has held since 2012.
